It's a must for anyone who constantly gets lost. This car compass is fantastic, and since installing it in my car (which is amazingly simple) as it comes with suction cups, I no longer get lost. I am extremely directional deficient. I don't know the difference between North, South, East, West, (I think North is straight up LOL).
I have yet to hear back from Ebuyyxp to find out what to do. I contacted the manufacturer and they have not handled this item for 3 years and had turned it over to another company. That company CT Global said since I bought it from a non authorized dealer they couldn't help me either. I order this product for myself and one for my parents. I think Amazon needs to be more careful whom they allow to sell stuff through them. When I contacted the seller. Neither of them would even turn on. Deals of today they said I would have to go to the manufacturer to return.
Cheap product, definatly wouldnt reccomend. Item mounting screws stripped as I was trying to install. Had to glue the mounting bracket.
The battery cap was a little difficult to get off, but if that's my only complaint, this is a good product. I bought this for my boyfriend for Christmas and its worked marvelously. It's very easy to set up if you follow the directions.
Great buy. And, you don't have to hard wire light (uses battery).Bought at Radio Shack for $9.97+tax. I'm surprised at all the negative reviews for this compass.Worked perfectly at outset.Followed directions. Turned steering wheel all the way in one direction before starting 2 turns (not one) & pressed power button before completing second turn.Agree backlight could be brighter but it is still readable in low/no light situations.
